Marc Jacobs: Honey Launch Westfield

Celebrating the release of its new fragrance ‘Honey’, Mark Jacobs asked the JUSTSO team to provide retail design solutions to help put together a promotional stand in Westfield’s Shopping centre. Marc Jacobs wanted the stand to be playful and fun, in tone with the new summer fragrance. Marc Jacobs’s concept included free perfume samples, a photo-booth and an ice-cream van – where Westfield shoppers could get their hands on a free honey flavour ice-cream!

The entire stand – located in the ground floor central atrium at Westfields – was an unmissable feature, with its statement Honey design stretching out across the floor in huge circles. A designer well known for his ability to reinvent classic lines and patterns; Honey has a bold new look – pairing striking stripes with cheeky dots, fusing elegance and fun!

Working with Marc Jacobs’s designs, JUSTSO’s creative team came up with the retail design solutions of bringing to life the central feature of the temporary installation – the giant Honey perfume bottle! We took the original 12cm perfume bottle and created a perfect 2 metre fibreglass replica – if only we could have filled it with some Marc Jacobs nectar! We went on to set the stunning final product pride of place, on a specially designed two-tier platform that would show off this fabulous bottle, continuing with thematic colours of white, yellow and black.

Marc Jacobs also asked JUSTSO to come up with a seating concept, where shoppers could rest their weary feet, cool down with an ice-cream and enjoy the fabulous display. We met this request with curved benches surrounding the circular floor pattern again matching the colours of the Honey brand – these were specially designed with holes to fit Marc Jacobs’s bees! Westfield’s will miss its touch of Marc Jacobs.
